Welcome to the Christchurch School website. We are excited you have taken the time to explore and learn more about our amazing school. With over 100 years of history, we are honored by the trust our parents have put in us, knowing we can provide to their children is a place where all students are challenged academically, intellectually, and socially. At Christchurch, they grow as young people who make a positive difference in the world and to do so in a place that is safe and inspiring. We want learning to be challenging but fun, relevant and complex, exciting and thought-provoking. We provide a great balance in challenging our students while also allowing them to find their passion.
As you visit our website, you will find our mission and our core values, the three C’s of Character, Curiosity, and Community, come to life. You will notice Community and Relationships are central to all we do. Our teachers know our students, and our students know our teachers. Students know they belong and are an essential part of our greater Christchurch Community. Whether a student is earning college credit through our dual enrollment courses, taking a class they have never tried before, or enhancing academic skills in our Learning Skills Program, Christchurch provides personalized support that helps all our students unlock their full potential.
Beyond the classroom, our athletics and Co-Curriculars also instill those same core values. While our waterfront location is home to our Nationally Ranked Sailing team, it also provides a unique and unparalleled opportunity to make learning relevant, to have fun with friends, and to dream of the world they will be contributing to. Our athletic fields and courts have been home to numerous State Champions and highly competitive teams in Soccer, Football, Lacrosse, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Golf, Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball, and so much more. School spirit is in full display at our home events.
I’m thrilled you have found our website and appreciate the time you have taken to explore online, but nothing can tell the story like the real thing. I hope you will consider a visit to our 100-acre campus on the Rappahannock River. You’ll see firsthand the spirit of hospitality throughout our community and the way we care and lift up one another. You’ll recognize how we are educating not only scholars but compassionate, confident, and principled global citizens. All of us here look forward to the opportunity to host you for a tour and some rich conversation.
Welcome to our Seahorse Community!
With Sincere Appreciation,
