The Christchurch faculty officially starts the 2008-09 school year THIS WEEK with the Great Journeys Faculty Institute.

Place-based education is rooted in what is local - the unique history and environment of a particular place. As it happens, our particular place - at the banks of the Rappahannock River in the Chesapeake Bay watershed -  provides an incredible opportunity for place/inquiry/project-based learning. We are pleased to announce the addition of two professionals who will join the rest of our faculty in bringing our fabulous location to life!

CCS Coach Karen Byrd is delighted with the turnout for this week's CCS Volleyball Camp. "We had so much interest from around the state that we've ended up providing lodging for players from Northern VA!" In all, forty boys and girls in grades 6-12 will learn the fundamentals as well as the finer points of the game from Byrd and special guest, veteran Richmond Volleyball Club coach Don Gresham.
