by Storm

Thirty prefects, Headmaster Byers, and nine faculty members attended the Prefect Leadership Training Retreat August 12-14 at Port Isobel on Tangier Island. Fun, games, serious talks, crabbing and mud-jumping were all part of the program, which integrated conservation, outdoor ed, small group sessions, and problem-solving challenges. Said one prefect, "I can already tell, it's going to be a great year!"
More than 100 Seahorses
Here for Preseason

In record-breaking numbers, students returned to Christchurch on Monday, August 15, for preseason athletic camp. For the first time, sailors are among that number. Thirteen of the seaworthy Seahorses, ranging from novice to experienced, are with Coach Jill Shore at the waterfront. Special guest coach John Vandemore, St. Mary's College assistant sailing coach and USODA National Team coach, is lending his expertise. Other teams practicing are volleyball, field hockey, soccer and football.
Meet Mr. Wishart,
Science Teacher

Although a newcomer to Christchurch, Jack Wishart is no newcomer to the world of independent schools! Mr. Wishart's parents are both private school teachers, and he is a graduate of St. Mark's School. Mr. Wishart has a B.S. in Geology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and seven years experience as a fly-fishing instructor, three of those at the Orvis Saltwater Fly-Fishing School. Mr. Wishart remembers well the dedicated teachers of his youth, and looks forward to inspiring and motivating his own students at Christchurch. He lives on First Floor Murrell. Welcome!
