Seahorses are VA Prep League Tournament Champs...AGAIN!
The Christchurch varsity basketball team defeated Collegiate School of Richmond 50-42 on February 17 to win the Virginia Prep League Tournament for the second year in a row. A host of Seahorse alumni were on hand at Collegiate to watch Friday's victory over Trinity Episcopal and Saturday's championship win over Collegiate. The Seahorses then went on to a great showing at the prestigious 51st Annual Sleepy Thompson Tournament at St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School in Alexandria. What's next for the Seahorses? They've earned the #5 seed in the Division I State Playoffs, and will host #12 seed Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School of Virginia Beach in the first round, to be played in our own Yarbrough Gymnasium at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
